Taichi Yagami, eleven years old this year, is a sixth-grade student at Odaiba Elementary School and an only child.

At present, he finds himself in a different world known as the Digital World. As for the blue dragon that follows him around and looks a bit like a puppy—according to its own claim, it is Taichi's partner, a Digimon called Veedramon.

The beginning of all this traces back to the time when Taichi participated in the Digimon Competition—the D-1 Grand Prix.

"Why am I not qualified to join the competition!"

Taichi began with a Black Ballmon, nurtured it into a Rolling Ballmon, then an Agumon, and finally it evolved into a Veedramon—a Digimon the organizers insisted didn't exist in their program.

For Taichi, Veedramon was almost like his child. He even named it Zero Maru (00), so when combined with Taichi's "1," together they symbolized an undefeated 100% win-rate team.

So when a guy next to him, who looked suspiciously like Koshiro, said it was a fake, Taichi immediately refuted him with all seriousness.

Thinking his device might be malfunctioning, Taichi sat on a nearby bench to see if he could fix it.
