Yu Zinuo, who was at a loss, had intended to hand her son over to Huangfu Lei and then comfort Yun Shang properly. But when she saw Yun Shang’s face suddenly change color, her heart jolted violently. A dreadful premonition made her feel as though she had plunged once more into an abyss ten thousand feet deep, and even breathing became difficult.
She raised her head and saw a mocking smile on his face. Then she lowered her gaze to the bank card before her, her brows drawing tightly together as a trace of displeasure flashed through her eyes.
Later, Xu Fu became the first emperor of the Wa kingdom, taking the title Emperor Jimmu. Xiangliu, now reduced to only eight heads, was renamed Yaki in recognition of his services escorting Xu Fu. To help Xu Fu rule the Wa savages, who still lived by eating raw flesh and drinking blood, he made Yaki a divine beast guarding the emperor, so that those savages, who worshiped only powerful creatures, would bow before him.
However, they had not gone far when the sound of hooves came from behind. Liu Bei hurriedly turned around and saw that Cao Cao’s soldiers had sent cavalry to pursue them.
“Thank you, Your Majesty.” Before the two could recover, Zhanlong had already arrived, standing proudly several paces from the pavilion.
The Yuan Shao army’s camp remained quiet throughout the day. Zhang Ji did not lower his guard and instead intensified the scouts’ investigations.
Given Zhao Yang and Ling Yuxuan’s current relationship, Ling Yuxuan would merely keep Zhao Yang’s sacrifices for her in her heart and repay him many times over in the future.
The outer layer of Fern’s cloak had been coated with grease, which could repel a little rain. But under such a relentless downpour, it had become completely soaked. Rainwater seeped through the cloak and drenched all the clothes beneath without the slightest effort. Even the bundle containing the food was not spared.
“Are they evenly matched?” Li Jing murmured, watching the sword radiance and finger seals locked in a stalemate.
Enoch insisted on taking the second watch himself. The result of being placed between the other two shifts was that he could not sleep for any substantial length of time, but as a warrior, he had taken on the arduous duty without hesitation. When he and Fern changed shifts, Fern kept him company in conversation for a little while and drank some wine with him.
Deep thought weighed upon Yu Qing’s eyes. Who wanted him dead—and who knew that he had arrived in the Southern Phoenix Kingdom ahead of schedule? His crown prince’s procession had not yet reached the imperial capital of Southern Phoenix. Who could possess news so swift as to know his whereabouts?
Fire Rose had no intention of allowing the strength she had only just built up to be diminished. She forcibly held Black Tiger’s head down, refusing to let him accept He Tiansheng’s challenge.
“What on earth is going on?” Ning Xinrui looked around, yet still could not find any trace of them.
“Return of the Azure Fall!” Murong Feisi was startled again. Was that not the poison her elder brother had developed? She had even been the one to name it.

The nearly two-hundred-pound brawny man crashed heavily to the ground and rolled for dozens of yards before finally coming to a stop. He had lost consciousness.
The Tyrant was forced to release him, then shot into the air and evaded this round of fierce attacks.
Once Mo Jin had made up her mind, her heart seemed to grow somewhat lighter. She used her access card to pass through the gate and walked toward her apartment.
“Does the Nether God mean that the Demon Emperor may know the formula for the antidote to the Dust of Lost Traces?” Immortal Yanyan looked at Huali as she spoke.
“Forget it, forget it. We’ll take the stairs.” Mo Jin smiled at the people inside the elevator, and one of them immediately pressed the button to close the doors.
When speaking to Murong Feisi, she could express her thoughts bluntly. Even if she was mocked, she remained fearless.
He had stood at the entrance for two reasons: first, to prevent the two of them from leaving; second, to deliver the punishment they deserved. Unfortunately, Zhao Wuji’s movement had been far too sudden.
Shi Guangming walked over to Zhao Shi, lit the hookah pipe he was carrying, and took several consecutive puffs.
In Tao Jiangde’s eyes, Cheng Baiqiang was simply an obstinate old fool. An院长 like that should have been replaced long ago. If he were院长, the Chinese medicine hospital would have been entirely different by now.
“Which company?” They actually dared to set their sights on him? Interesting. Did they not know who he was?
By contrast, he clung tightly to the glowing device. Although his armor had already begun to smoke, he deliberately opened his torso wider, allowing the armor to cover as much of the device as possible and preventing any of its radiance from escaping.
Once his revenge was complete, he would finally be able to lay the past to rest and make a better beginning in the world of Teyvat.
Every sign told him that the Uchiha massacre had not been as simple as Uchiha Itachi losing his mind and slaughtering the entire clan. A far greater conspiracy surely lay behind it. If he wished to uncover those veils of mystery, he would need strength to match.
A massive shadow rose from the depths of the stone cellar. It belonged to a burly man nearly two meters tall. Pei Ye had noticed him earlier, but only after he stood up did the full extent of his body become visible.

“Brother Ji, do you have any information on the Primordial Divine Beast Emperor within the Realm of Azure Wood Creation?” Wang Ye contacted him mentally.
Although the Flood Dragon King was the third son of the Demon Emperor, the demon race had always respected strength above all else, and so they had always held him in high regard. Seeing Red-Scaled Child speak that way, he could only agree.
“I’ll ask the people who lived here back then and see whether they remember anything about the cellar.” Li San continued to stand by his own opinion.
“Once I return to the grasslands, I will make A Duqin give me a satisfactory explanation!” E Rishi spat through clenched teeth.
Perhaps I should use a weaker spell against the Dark Dragon. That way I would not kill it, though the spell might also prove ineffective. Afan Si knew that dragons were generally immune to magic. Unless he used a powerful high-level spell, it would have no effect.
After all the flammable material in the area had burned away, leaving the ground scorched black, Xifei slowly drifted down from midair. Discovering that the fugitive’s trail had vanished, she once again cast a gale spell to track the missing scent and resumed the pursuit.
A Si put on a show of bravado despite his inner fear. “Think it over carefully!” he snapped, then supported himself with the iron rod and clattered away.
Qian Dingyang did not stop in Hengbei City at all. He went directly to Xiheng County. Xu Dongqing and the others had no choice but to follow him there.
You Yitian hurriedly focused his mind and examined his body. Sure enough, he discovered that the Spirit of the World was inside him once again. The instant he saw that troublesome entity, You Yitian truly did not know whether he ought to laugh or cry.
Not long afterward, someone suddenly reported that the Tiger King of the White Tiger Kingdom had brought a treasure as tribute and was waiting outside the palace gates to request an audience. The two of them simultaneously recalled their agreement in the Desolate Forest and immediately perked up, eager to see whether Hu Xiaotian truly possessed a flawless jade.
“Let him enter!”
Three quarters of an hour later, Hu Xiaotian arrived with a sedan chair following behind him, guided through the palace by an imperial eunuch.
