The lights in the training room flickered wildly, the simulated combat devices emitted piercing howls, and energy waves raged like untamed stallions. Mao Yu felt as if his body was about to be torn apart; a tremendous force rampaged within him. His supernatural power boiled like water on the verge of explosion, battering his meridians. His face turned pale, and beads of sweat as large as soybeans rolled down his forehead. The surrounding training equipment began to flicker erratically, sparking with crackling electricity as if the entire room had transformed into a perilous minefield.

"This is bad! This kid is about to die from his body bursting!" A figure rushed swiftly into the training room — it was Teacher Zhou, the instructor for the supernatural training course. His face was ashen as he grabbed Mao Yu’s shoulder with a fierce grip and shouted, “Stop immediately! You’re pushing yourself too hard! Your body cannot withstand this overwhelming energy!”

Gritting his teeth, Mao Yu struggled to control the violent supernatural power within him and stammered, “Te-Teacher Zhou… I… I can control it…”

“Control? Look at your state now! Do you think you’re in control?” Teacher Zhou yelled angrily, frustrated with Mao Yu’s stubbornness. “You’re just too full of yourself! Thinking that a bit of talent allows you to do whatever you want? Let me tell you, cultivating supernatural abilities is not achieved overnight. It requires gradual progress! Reckless behavior like this will only lead to your demise!”

Mao Yu felt an overwhelming sense of grievance. Teacher Zhou was known for his rigid severity, and today he seemed even more irritable, allowing no room for explanation. Mao Yu felt more wronged than Dou E, who was famously unjustly executed—he had only tried to push his limits but ended up playing with fire.

“Teacher Zhou, I…” Mao Yu tried to explain but was abruptly cut off.

A surge of defiance rose within Mao Yu. He lifted his head sharply, eyes gleaming with resolute determination. “Teacher Zhou, I must break through!” His gaze was like a blade, his tone unwavering and resolute. A mighty aura burst forth from him, causing Teacher Zhou to flinch slightly in surprise.

“You’re crazy!” Teacher Zhou shouted, increasing his grip, trying to forcibly stop Mao Yu’s training.

Anxious and desperate, Mao Yu could only pin his hopes on the system. He frantically recited in his mind, “System, analyze!” Each second felt like an eternity. At the critical moment, the system finally responded.

“Ding! Detected host’s internal energy disorder, recommend initiating emergency stabilization protocol.”

“Activate!” Mao Yu responded without hesitation.

A refreshing coolness instantly spread throughout his body, and the violent supernatural power gradually calmed like a tamed beast. The surrounding instruments ceased flickering, humming with regularity.

“This kid…” Teacher Zhou’s eyes widened in disbelief.

The onlooking classmates also erupted in astonished exclamations.

“Holy crap! That’s amazing! He actually controlled it!”

Mao Yu’s lips curved into a slight smile, secretly pleased: “You think you can challenge me? You’re still green!”

“Boom!” A tremendous explosion erupted as Mao Yu’s supernatural power burst forth like a volcanic eruption. The energy was no longer chaotic and wild but formed a dazzling spiral column of light shooting toward the training room’s ceiling. The room’s lights instantly brightened, illuminating the space like daylight. The powerful energy waves swept through the training room like a tangible gale, tossing the equipment about and causing the walls to tremble violently, as if they might collapse at any moment.

“What… what kind of power is this?” Teacher Zhou stood dumbfounded, never having witnessed such formidable supernatural energy fluctuations.

Mao Yu slowly opened his eyes, their brilliance shining brightly. He clenched his fist, feeling the surging power within, a confident smile playing on his lips.

“Ding! Congratulations, host has advanced to Intermediate Supernatural Ability level!” the system’s voice sounded timely.

“Finally broke through!” Mao Yu’s heart surged with excitement.

He looked at Teacher Zhou with a challenging glare. “Teacher Zhou, do you still think I can’t control it?”

Teacher Zhou opened his mouth but found no words. Gazing at the spirited youth, a mix of emotions swirled within him. Though still angry at Mao Yu’s recklessness, he couldn’t help but secretly admire his courage.

A petite figure dashed in and embraced Mao Yu tightly. “Brother Mao Yu, are you okay? You scared me to death!” Mao Ling’s eyes brimmed with tears, her voice choked with emotion.

Mao Yu felt a warmth in his heart and gently patted her back. “Silly girl, I’m fine. See? I’m perfectly alright.”

Only then did Mao Ling lift her head, seeing Mao Yu radiant and full of vigor. Her tears turned to laughter. “That’s wonderful! I knew Brother Mao Yu was the strongest!” Her admiration was unmistakable, filling Mao Yu with quiet joy.

The surrounding classmates gathered eagerly, buzzing with excited chatter:

“Amazing, Mao Shao! You actually advanced to Intermediate Supernatural Ability!”

“That’s insanely strong! It’s like he’s cheating!”
