Chapter 52: Bar Conflict (Part 2)
"Damn it! How dare you hit me? Do you know who I am? Fuck! Brothers, get him! Beat him to death!"
Wang Yu covered his head, his face contorted with rage as he roared at Xu Yi.
Several of Wang Yu's cronies immediately rolled up their sleeves and marched toward Xu Yi aggressively, shouting arrogantly as they advanced.
"Damn it! Where did this bumpkin crawl out from, daring to strike Young Master Wang! Kneel down and apologize right now! You're courting death!"
"Why waste words with him? If he won't kneel, beat him until he does!"
Two scrawny men made the first move, winding up their fists and swinging directly at Xu Yi's face.
"Watch out!" Ding Xue couldn't help but warn.
Xu Yi sneered, and facing their incoming punches, he struck out with lightning speed!
"Ah! Oh, oh, oh~"
The two instantly felt as though their fists had smashed into a solid iron plate, and their entire arms thundered with the pain of fracturing bones. They let out a howl, clutched their arms, and collapsed straight to the ground.
Xu Yi glanced down at the pair and said, "Weak and powerless, acting like a bunch of sissies, yet you dare rush up to pick a fight? Courting death!"
Because Xu Yi's punching speed was simply too fast, the crowd hadn't managed to see it clearly at all. They only saw the two rush toward Xu Yi, and in the very next second, end up collapsed on the floor howling!
Everyone present was dumbfounded!
But that wasn't the end of it. Xu Yi raised his feet and brought them down fiercely, stomping directly onto the hands of the two men.
With agonizing shrieks of pain, the two actually passed out cold on the spot!
So ruthless!
Wang Yu and the others were completely stunned now too! Two of them had just grabbed wine bottles and stood there holding them blankly, staring dumbly without daring to make a move.
Xu Yi stepped forward, gazing coldly at the group. "What? Want to smash me with wine bottles? Then you'd better aim carefully, lest those bottles end up crashing right over your own heads in the next second!"
Frightened into a shiver, the men hurriedly dropped the wine bottles and backed away step by step, offering flattering smiles. "Brother! It's a misunderstanding! A misunderstanding! We just wanted to invite you to have a drink."
"A misunderstanding?" Xu Yi walked slowly, step by step, right up to Wang Yu, and said coldly, "Tell me, is this a misunderstanding? You forcing my woman to drink—is that a fucking misunderstanding too?"
Wang Yu's face turned livid. Gritting his teeth, he stared back at Xu Yi unyieldingly. "Kid! Do you know who I am? My uncle is with the East Sea Gang, you..."
Xu Yi delivered a slap across his face.
"Crack!"
A crisp sound echoed through the air, cutting off Wang Yu's words.
"Are you incapable of understanding human speech? I don't give a damn who you or your uncle are. I asked you a question: why did you force my woman to drink?"
Holding his cheek, Wang Yu was beaten to the point of tears.
Damn it! It hurt so much!
"Brother, I fucking didn't know she was your woman. Besides, when people come out to play, having a few extra drinks—she didn't refuse either!" Wang Yu argued.
"Spit!"
"Wang Yu! Can you ever speak a shred of truth? My friend here clearly told you thirty minutes ago that she wasn't drinking anymore, yet you lot insisted on forcing drinks down her throat!"
"Around here, who doesn't know that you scumbags specialize in pulling these dirty tricks to prey on girls at bars! Disgusting! Perverts!"
As he spoke, Xu Yi landed another slap across Wang Yu's face.
"Crack!"
This blow was even heavier, causing Wang Yu to spit out blood.
Xu Yi said with disdain, "Consider this slap a lesson! Remember this: when people come out to have fun and say they won't drink, you do not pressure them! Pull this crap again, and I'll beat you every single time I see you! Get lost!"
Clenching his teeth, Wang Yu glared viciously at Xu Yi once more. "Kid! You're vicious enough! I, Wang Yu, admit I planted a bad crop this time. Do you have the guts to tell me your name?"
Xu Yi said indifferently, "Xu Yi. I know you're going to call for backup! You'd better make it quick, then."
"Hmph! Let's go!"
Shooting Xu Yi one last venomous glare, Wang Yu finally tucked his tail between his legs and scurried out, surrounded by his remaining lackeys.
Inside the bar, applause suddenly rang out.
To be honest, anyone who had spent any time hanging out in bars knew very well that Wang Yu constantly stirred up trouble here. To put it nicely, he was out hunting for romance, but the methods he used were utterly disgraceful—to call it what it truly was, it was harassment.
Yet, intimidated by the influence of Wang Yu's uncle, everyone dared to be angry without speaking out, not even daring to call the police because the cops were useless anyway. Even the bar owner hid in the background and never showed his face.
Now that Xu Yi had stood up for them and vented their grievances, they were naturally overjoyed.
"What are you all gawking and hooting for? Drink your booze, or get the hell home if you aren't drinking!" Ding Xue waved her hand dismissively at the onlookers.
Then, she walked up to Xu Yi, looked him up and down, and asked, "You're Xu Yi?"
From her voice, Xu Yi recognized her as the woman who had called him.
Xu Yi nodded and said, "I have to thank you for the call."
"Hmph!" Ding Xue sneered contemptuously. "Thanks for nothing! If Yang Tingting hadn't pinned your contact to the top of her chat list, who the hell would've bothered to call you?"
"You may still pass for a man, but you're a complete idiot! Wang Yu's background isn't something you can afford to provoke, yet you even gave him your real name. He's definitely going to call for reinforcements right now. You need to grab Tingting and get the hell out of here immediately!"
As she spoke, Ding Xue pulled Yang Tingting over from the side and shoved her straight into Xu Yi's arms.
Xu Yi quickly caught her. Looking at Yang Tingting, he saw her face was flushed red from alcohol. Yet, the moment she tumbled into Xu Yi's embrace, her eyes fluttered open and she caught sight of him.
"Xu Yi! You're here! Come on, have a drink with me! Hurry up, have a drink with me!"
"Why did you take so long to get here... I waited for you for so long, why didn't you ever call me... Do you only ever show up when there's drinking involved? Wuwuwu~"
As she rambled on, Yang Tingting actually leaned against Xu Yi and burst into tears.
Xu Yi hastily comforted her, saying, "Let's talk about this after we get back, alright?"
"No! I won't! I'm not going back, right here is fine, I want to drink! I haven't had enough yet, and you're not allowed to leave either!" Yang Tingting resisted with every fiber of her being, clinging desperately to Xu Yi and refusing to let go.
Helpless, Xu Yi looked at Ding Xue and said, "It looks like I won't be leaving anytime soon."
He then turned his head and called out, "Xiao Ke! Xiao Ke! Come here!"
"Coming, Brother! I'm here." Xiao Ke, the male greeter, slipped out from somewhere and stared at Xu Yi with a flattering expression.
"Brother! What are your orders?"
Xu Yi said indifferently, "Didn't you say I could get a VIP booth? Open one up for me. Also, I don't know which table's champagne I smashed earlier, so send two bottles over to them on my tab as an apology."
"You got it, Brother! The booth was already prepared for you anyway, right this way please."
Xiao Ke was efficient; the moment he spoke, he immediately set about handling it.
Frowning angrily, Ding Xue snapped, "Tell me, are you out of your mind? I spelled things out for you so clearly, why the hell are you still lingering here? Do you actually think Wang Yu is going to let this go just because you scared him with a couple of threats? Do you even know who Wang Yu is? The power behind him is something you can't possibly fight against."
"And that guy is pure scum, someone who holds grudges and seeks immediate payback. He's definitely going to retaliate against you right away, understand?"
Xu Yi scooped Yang Tingting up horizontally into his arms and replied calmly, "I know. Wang Yu's uncle is called Wang Daxiang, nicknamed 'Big Head Wang.' He's the boss of the East Sea Gang's outer perimeter organization in the Jing'an District. He's fierce by nature, bullies the market, and is notoriously protective of his own."
Frowning in speechlessness, Ding Xue retorted, "Since you already know, why aren't you running?"
Xu Yi shook his head. "Given Wang Yu's personality, even if I ran, he'd still track me down to cause trouble. Since that's the case, it's better to settle this nuisance right from the start, once and for all."
Rolling her eyes at Xu Yi, Ding Xue sneered in disdain, "I despise self-righteous men like you the most. Who do you think you are? I've talked until my lips were chapped, and you're still acting like this."
"Don't think I don't know what you're up to—just trying to salvage your pathetic ego, right?"
"Fine! Do whatever the hell you want. I'm done caring."
With that, Ding Xue glared at Xu Yi one last time and stormed off in a huff.
Xu Yi was left speechless, completely failing to understand Ding Xue's behavior. In fact, he hadn't even comprehended half of the nonsense she had blurted out.
As far as Xu Yi was concerned, he had already purchased the roster and basic information of every single member of the East Sea Gang from the black market. He knew that dodging the Wang family after offending them was useless; the only way out was to face them head-on and resolve it. Otherwise, they would just buzz around his ears like annoying flies—infuriatingly persistent.
When dealing with pests, the best strategy was to crush them right from the very beginning.
Shaking his head, Xu Yi dismissed Ding Xue from his thoughts.
He then pulled out his mobile phone and dialed Luo Hao. The call connected.
"Hello! Hao哥! Are you free to come out for a drink? My treat! At the Sonic Bar in the Jing'an District. Hehe! You'd better bring a few extra men."
