Chapter Eleven: "Here You Go, Baa Baa~"

“Waiter, please take this out for us to try on.”

“Sorry, ma’am, this item is not for sale.”

The voices came from inside as soon as they reached the entrance.

Yin Yuanxun paid no attention. Holding An An, he browsed around the store and reluctantly thought the necklace displayed on the central stand would suit her.

“Please help me take this out.”

At the same time, he handed over his phone displaying his ID verification for the store. Upon seeing it, one sales assistant immediately asked another to fetch the manager.

When the manager arrived, he took out the necklace and handed it to Yin Yuanxun.

“No need, just give it to me.”

Yin Yuanxun sat on a nearby sofa and fastened the necklace around An An’s neck.

An An lowered her head, clutching the necklace with her small hand, trying to see the sparkling gems—a perfect treasure for a little girl.

“Thank you, Su Su~ Hehe, An An really likes it.”

Yin Yuanxun said, “As long as you like it.”

At that moment, the mother and daughter who had just requested the necklace were preparing to leave. The little girl caught sight of the necklace on An An’s neck and instantly frowned, tugging at her mother’s sleeve.

“Mom, I want it! I want it!”

She then glared at An An with fierce eyes and said, “That’s mine! You little thief! Give me back my necklace!”

Hearing this, Yin Yuanxun’s expression darkened immediately.

At the same time, he gently turned An An’s face toward him, pulling her close into his arms and covering her ears.

His gaze turned cold as he stared at the little girl’s mother. “If you don’t know how to teach your child, I wouldn’t mind giving you a lesson about what’s right to say and what’s not.”

The mother, perceptive enough, especially in this jewelry store where securing a non-sale item meant considerable status, quickly pulled her daughter behind her, crouching down to scold her. Then she turned to apologize to An An.

An An, with her ears covered, couldn’t quite hear what was said.

Yin Yuanxun said, “Have your daughter apologize to my child, and this matter will be settled.”

The woman whispered something to her reluctant daughter, who then apologized to An An.

“An An, that girl said some unkind words just now. She’s apologized now. Will you forgive her?”

An An hadn’t really heard anything, as Yin Yuanxun covered her ears just in time and tightly.

But since he said it, An An nodded obediently. “Okay.”

Yin Yuanxun smiled and praised her, then said, “You two may leave now.”

He paid no further attention to them, focusing instead on entertaining An An.

Although Yin Yuanxun wasn’t entirely satisfied with the gifted necklace, it didn’t matter. Next time, he’d get her something even better.

With that thought, he lifted An An. “An An, are you hungry?”

An An hadn’t moved much today, and after being fed by Xu Hong in the office, she didn’t feel hungry yet.

She shook her head.

“Is Su Su hungry?” she asked.

Hearing this, Yin Yuanxun chuckled. “No, Uncle was just worried you might be hungry.”

An An patted her still slightly rounded belly. “An An’s not hungry.”

“Alright, then shall we go play? Uncle will help you catch some toys?”

Yin Yuanxun had never really taken care of a child before. Though there were children in his extended family, he rarely interacted with them, so he wasn’t sure how to spend time with one.

He had only seen others take kids to play, and catching toys seemed to be a must.

An An was not picky; she didn’t even know what catching toys meant but nodded obediently when Yin Yuanxun mentioned it.

Yin Yuanxun almost couldn’t resist planting a big kiss on An An’s face but held back.

Firstly, he feared Lu Jinqiao would scold him if she found out.

Secondly, as an unrelated uncle, it felt inappropriate to be too affectionate with the little girl.

So instead, he leaned down and “ferociously” rubbed his face against An An’s cheek. It was soft, smooth, and incredibly pleasant.

Yin Yuanxun exchanged a hundred game tokens and held An An in one arm while operating the claw machine with the other.

Several times, the toys almost got caught but slipped at the last moment, dropping back down.

Then, having figured out the pattern, he tried a few more times and soon was catching toys every time.

He ended up with a huge bag of plush toys for An An. Since carrying so many would be cumbersome, he asked her to choose the ones she liked, intending to give the rest to other children at random after asking An An.

An An’s eyes were nearly closed with joy as she hugged two plush toys: a tilted-headed Lobby and a red transforming pig.

She even tried to pull another one out of the bag, and Yin Yuanxun, watching her earnest effort, couldn’t help but smile.

“Do you like them all? We can take them all!”

An An shook her head seriously. “For Su Su. Thank you, Su Su, for catching for An An.”

Yin Yuanxun was stunned, never expecting her to be so considerate.

He was deeply moved.

“Good An An, you’re such a sweet treasure.”

He looked at the two toys in her arms and asked, “Is one of these for your daddy?”

An An nodded and held up the Lobby in her right hand. “For Baba.”

Both toys were quite big, and An An hugged them so tightly she was almost hidden behind them.

Yin Yuanxun helped hold the toys and said affectionately, “You’re such a good girl!”

“Hehe~”

Pleased by the praise, An An took two steps forward and playfully buried her face in the plush toys Yin Yuanxun was holding, her little feet kicking happily.
