Reuniting with An Yi and Xiao Han, Wujue found them deeply shaken by the horde of villagers that had just surged past.

Xiao Han asked Wujue what was wrong with the villagers and if they had gone mad.

With great tension, Wujue replied, "I'm not sure either. I never expected the power of the green spar to fail. All these villagers have turned into zombies. It seems necessary to stop them."

"However, the situation with the South China Gang in the city is still unclear. Will the zombies inside fight with these villagers?" An Yi asked nervously.

Traumatized by the preceding events, she held little fondness for these villagers.

Wujue suggested, "Since things have reached this point, perhaps we can use their own game against them. Let's see if these zombies will tear each other apart, allowing us to reap the profits from the sidelines."

Thus, the four of them immediately boarded a car, made a detour into the city to observe the villagers' movements, and arrived near the urban area only to find the city's zombies wandering out of control in all directions. Even more terrifyingly, the villagers affected by the purple spar were actively launching attacks on those zombies.

Calmly, Wujue thought to himself that since the purple spar could eradicate the Tianzhu tribe's virus, these zombies served as the ultimate weapon. The crisis within the city was essentially resolved.

Although at least tens of thousands of zombies were currently roaming the city while the villagers of Sanwang Village numbered barely a few dozen, the might of the purple spar was extraordinary.

The villagers appeared drawn to the zombies, desperately swarming into the city. The moment both sides made contact, a chaotic frenzy of biting erupted as they attacked one another without hesitation, tearing into each other's flesh.

Villager after villager was knocked down, yet individual zombies were also dragged down by the villagers, and the situation rapidly shifted.

Zombies that came into contact with the villagers also began to mutate. Their flesh seemed to burn as they were consumed by the purple radiance, and one after another, they collapsed to the ground.

It was like a process of natural selection: substandard zombies dissolved into pools of blood, while those that accepted the power of the purple spar transformed to match the villagers, subsequently joining the ranks of the besiegers.

In less than a moment, half of the thirty-odd villagers had perished, but the infected zombies numbered between seventy and eighty, further expanding the siege force.

Wujue figured it was time to launch their offensive from within. He told An Yi and the others, "Sit tight, we're about to charge in!"

He slammed his foot down on the accelerator and threw the car into reverse. The vehicle sped backward, kicking up clouds of dust, but once they had put enough distance between themselves and the target, Wujue floored the accelerator to maximum speed and hurtled forward like a shooting arrow, smashing straight through a dilapidated wall blocking their path.

The jeep plowed through a pile of debris, stumbling blindly into the city. Guided as if by divine assistance, Wujue maneuvered wildly through the urban streets while demanding of the South China Gang captive he had dragged along, "Where is Sister Gui's territory? How do we find her?"

The captive was already terrified out of his wits inside the car. Just then, a zombie fiercely lunged onto the vehicle, clawing desperately at the body and roaring at them. Stammering, the captive replied, "Go... go south."

Xiao Han cracked open the window slightly, aimed an assault rifle outside, and unleashed a burst of gunfire, blowing the zombie's head apart as he warned, "What is there to be afraid of? Speak properly, or I'll throw you out."

Hearing this, the man frantically swallowed his saliva and said, "The largest red-light district in the southern part of the city—Starlight Nightclub is the place. It'll probably take over an hour to drive there from here."

"Hold on tight, everyone!" Calculating the trajectory while spinning the steering wheel, Wujue cleanly shook off two zombies that had climbed onto the back of the car and drove straight ahead.

They encountered numerous zombies along the way until Princess An Yi impatiently declared, "Let me use the particle cannon on them! There are simply too many!"

Xiao Han replied, "I'll cover you. These fellows are not easy to deal with."

Wujue immediately opened the sunroof and activated the automated navigation system. A pleasant navigation voice echoed inside the car: "Welcome to the Beidou Navigation System. We hope your upcoming journey is a pleasant one. Please select your destination..."

"If this journey turns out pleasant, it'll truly be a miracle!" Wujue muttered under his breath, stepping harder on the gas.

He also rolled down his window, periodically shooting at the swarming zombies. Breaking through in this manner consumed quite a bit of time, and it was only with great difficulty that Wujue's group finally breached the city center, only to find the road ahead completely blocked and impassable.

A building had completely collapsed, directly barring their way, and the jeep seemed unwilling to start. Wujue attempted to turn the ignition twice, then said, "Looks like we'll have to get out and break through on foot."

The three counted to three in unison, pushed open the car doors together, and sprinted outward. An Yi and Xiao Han covered their flanks while Wujue dragged the hapless South China Gang captive, carving a path forward as they sought a way out.

"This damn place is even more chaotic than Ningshi!" Wujue complained, dropping several zombies with a single shot.

Xiao Han sprinted up from behind and chimed in, "Well, we aren't ordinary folks either. We aren't afraid of a few more zombies, right, Great Monk Wujue?"

Wujue offered a faint smile, maintaining his relentless gunfire without missing a beat, swiftly dispatching a multitude of zombies.

Princess An Yi guarded their rear, channeling her divine strength to hoist a stone pillar from the ground and bringing down numerous zombies in rapid succession.

After a grueling sprint, they finally arrived at their destination. The South China Gang member pointed ahead and shouted, "We've arrived! That's the building right there. Sister Gui is inside."

Wujue looked up. Ahead stood a building over a dozen stories high, surrounded by barricades that formed a perimeter, keeping the surrounding zombies at bay.

Once they broke through the barricades, they could temporarily evade the attacks of the zombies. Wujue handed the gang member over to Xiao Han, instructing him to quickly duck inside the barrier, before drawing his shotgun, equipping the purple spar attachment, and unleashing a fierce barrage.

The zombies pursuing them from behind were blown to smithereens. Princess An Yi successfully caught up, and the two of them left the rear guard behind, swiftly leaping over the barricades and charging into the lobby of the building.

At that moment, several bodyguards emerged from within to block them, demanding, "Who are you people? Who gave you permission to barge in here?"

Xiao Han pushed the captive forward, prompting the South China Gang survivor to explain, "We're Boss Wu's subordinates. We were just ambushed by zombies. Didn't our boss come over here? We have urgent business with him, so let us in."

The bodyguards sized up Wujue and his companions before asking, "Are the ones behind you also members of the gang? Why have we never seen them before?"

Realizing suspicion had been aroused, Wujue smiled and said, "Of course we aren't members of the South China Gang. We were just passing by and lent a hand."

"Is that so?" One of the bodyguards removed his sunglasses and stared at them incredulously. "You don't look like ordinary folks to me. You aren't welcome here, so you'd better leave as soon as possible."

With that, he signaled for the South China Gang captive to enter alone. Infuriated, Xiao Han darted right in front of the guard, staring him down with hostility. "Isn't this a bit too inhospitable? We went through all this trouble to escort someone here with so many zombies outside, and you're just telling us to leave?"

The guard glared back unyieldingly and snapped, "So what? Want to start a fight?"

The subtext was a clear order of expulsion.

Seeing Xiao Han clenching his fists, Wujue stepped forward, pulled him back, and said, "It's fine if you won't let us in, but we won't be held responsible if something happens in there shortly."

"With us here, what could possibly happen?" The guard sneered.

Right on cue, a voice from upstairs called down, "Alright, they're all my friends. Let them come up." It was Huron, posing as Boss Wu, poking his head out to speak.

Despite Boss Wu's command, the bodyguards remained completely unfazed. Huron angrily retorted, "Sister Gui, your subordinates have zero respect for me! Do they treat my words like passing wind?"

In response, an aged female voice let out a cold laugh. "In my territory, how could they possibly listen to anyone else? Old Wu, your friends look like they know some martial arts. Why not let them spar a bit?"

Was this old hag deliberately looking for trouble?

Wujue couldn't help but look up. Behind a glass window on the upper floor, a grey-haired woman stood beside Huron, her expression elderly, overbearing, and utterly unreasonable.

Most speechlessly, the bodyguards in front of them actually assumed fighting stances, eagerly raring to throw punches.

Wujue scratched his ear in resignation. "Are we really doing this?"

"What, scared?" the guard mocked.
