Chapter 0117: It’s Over, It’s Over—This Time, It’s Truly Over.
Orochimaru did not head to the life-bearing planet; instead, he remained on Earth, sequestered in his laboratory to conduct research. As for the mission currently underway to that planet, it was estimated to take about three months, so Orochimaru was in no rush at all.
However, Uchiha Madara could not bear to see life suffer. Strictly speaking, he was still a very kind person at heart. Therefore, while Yakushi Kabuto and the others were riding the red carpet toward the planet, he slipped away to follow them secretly. He went to ensure that when those two Otsutsuki clansmen clashed with Kabuto and Kimimaro, they would not inadvertently devastate the life-bearing planet.
...
On Planet Sadala, the Shingang tribe held a special connection with the Monkey King Enma. Through him, they learned that reinforcements were coming to their world. The Shingang tribesmen cheered, but suddenly, their expressions turned anxious. Crowding around their leader, they urged, "This is not right, Chief, this is not right! Do not let the reinforcements come to Planet Sadala. We can push ourselves to send away a few ordinary tribesmen to ensure our survival; that is enough!"
"Indeed! If the reinforcements come, they will surely be intercepted by those two Otsutsuki clansmen!"
"Once a conflict breaks out, we will have doomed our rescuers!"
The Otsutsuki were invincible; almost every adult member of the clan possessed the power to challenge an entire star system single-handedly. While the Shingang were grateful for the aid, they did not want their rescuers to incur the wrath of the Otsutsuki—a clan that no one could afford to offend.
The Shingang leader realized the gravity of the situation and quickly transformed into his Adamantine Staff form to contact the Monkey King Enma, telling them not to come. Having been thrust into leadership unexpectedly, he had not yet become a seasoned chief, but with his tribesmen's reminder, he finally understood the danger.
At that moment, the Monkey King Enma, who was riding the red carpet toward Planet Sadala, suddenly felt a vibration. He listened carefully and realized it was a message from the Shingang. With Kabuto absent, Shikamaru was acting as the squad leader. Noticing the change in Enma's expression, he turned his head and asked, "What is it?"
Enma replied truthfully, "The Shingang have just contacted me, saying we should not land on their planet and should just wait. They are afraid that we will completely offend the two Otsutsuki clansmen."
Shikamaru remained calm and replied, "Ah, that. Tell them not to worry; we will be there in a moment."
Jiraiya, who respected Enma greatly—viewing him as something of a teacher—added, "Monkey King, tell them not to fret. They are only two Otsutsuki clansmen; even if ten more came, they would be no match for us."
Jiraiya flicked his hair, which was thick and voluminous. He had also consumed Orochimaru’s cultivation serum, but rather than gaining specific traits like the Sharingan or Wood Release, he had processed the serum to develop his own unique techniques. Everyone had their own path, and the one Jiraiya had chosen for himself was his hair.
"With this glorious hair of mine," Jiraiya declared, "strangling two Otsutsuki clansmen at once wouldn't be a problem."
Reassured, Enma trusted Jiraiya's words and had faith in the strength of Orochimaru, who had unified Earth.
...
On Planet Sadala, the Shingang chief was on the verge of tears as he told his people, "The reinforcements won't listen. They told us not to worry and to just wait in peace."
Several elderly Shingang members paced back and forth, desperate for a solution, but they were powerless. After exhausting their "Shingang" power, they had grown weak. Aside from the chief himself, none of them could transform into the Adamantine Staff, and their strength had dwindled to less than a tenth of its peak. They had no options left.
"We can only hope that those two Otsutsuki ignore us and focus solely on the Divine Tree," they prayed.
Just then, they saw a massive burst of light erupt in the sky, followed by the sight of white bones flashing across the heavens. Immediately after, a deafening roar echoed out. They knew this wasn't happening in the sky above them, but out in deep space! It was only because the display was so bright and immense that they could see and hear it.
Some Shingang tribesmen looked up, shouting, "They’re fighting!"
One tribesman immediately urged the chief, "Quick, contact the reinforcements! Tell them to stop! Tell them to surrender!"
This sector belonged to the Otsutsuki clan; to fight them was equivalent to rebelling against the entire clan. In the current world, no one could withstand the consequences of such a rebellion!
The young Shingang chief relayed the message, but there was no response from Enma's side. Just as they were gripped by anxiety, a red carpet descended from the sky.
"Look!"
All the Shingang looked up to see several humans riding the carpet as it descended from the firmament and came to a halt before them. Once they arrived, some of the humans jumped off the carpet and began collecting samples of the planet's air and soil. Two other humans, accompanied by a monkey that looked exactly like the Shingang, stepped off and walked toward them.
The young Shingang chief stepped forward. Upon seeing him, Enma quickened his pace, and the two primates stood face-to-face.
Enma said, "You are the new 'Shingang' I've been in contact with?"
The young chief nodded and quickly knelt on one knee, saying, "On behalf of the Shingang tribe, I thank you for your arrival!"
Shikamaru, hands behind his head and a toothpick in his mouth, looked at the Shingang chief with interest, then glanced at the other tribesmen before turning back to look at Enma.
He thought to himself, "So the Shingang are the legendary Monkey summon clan... no, that's not quite it." He recalled records of how Mount Enma had descended from the heavens, and how the mountain was surrounded by a special magnetic field that formed a natural labyrinth. It now appeared that Mount Enma was likely extraterrestrial matter, and the monkeys living there were probably Shingang tribesmen who had accidentally ended up on Earth.
At that moment, the young Shingang chief pleaded anxiously, "Please, tell your human companions to stop! We surrender!" His expression was one of extreme distress, and the surrounding tribesmen were equally panicked; the Otsutsuki were not to be trifled with.
Enma looked up and said, "Are you worried about those two Otsutsuki? Don't worry, they are no match for us."
In the sky, light flickered, and white bones morphed into grey ones, a terrifying sight. The young Shingang chief was stunned. "Those two Otsutsuki are... no match?"
Generally, few could defeat the Otsutsuki, let alone two of them! However, upon hearing that they could be beaten, the young chief became even more anxious. "If you can beat them, then you shouldn't have fought them at all! Tell your companions to stop quickly; I will explain later."
Just then, two corpses plummeted from the sky, crashing into the ground beside them and creating a massive crater. A shockwave rippled out, but the shadows at Shikamaru's feet extended, intercepting the shockwave and dispersing it instantly.
Yakushi Kabuto and Kimimaro descended from the sky, drenched in blood, their expressions indifferent. Kabuto looked down at his blood-stained body and remarked, "We are still far behind Lord Orochimaru. To have become this disheveled just to deal with two Otsutsuki..."
Kimimaro nodded in agreement.
The young Shingang chief stared at Kabuto and Kimimaro, completely bewildered. He and his tribesmen rushed to the edge of the crater and looked in, seeing the two corpses of the Otsutsuki clansmen lying there. Their bodies trembled, and despair washed over them. "It's over, it's all over!"
They turned back to Enma, Jiraiya, and Shikamaru, wailing, "We've brought a huge disaster upon ourselves!"
