Chapter Eighty: Mi’er’s Wedding

Lush green saplings
Soil shimmering with moisture
A faint stream of water continuously flows toward the unknown depths of darkness.
Li Yu gazed thoughtfully at his dantian for a long while.
“Brother! I caught a wild pheasant! Let’s roast it and eat!” Snow-white silver hair interwoven with ethereal blue strands gave Xiaomeng a dreamlike appearance. Though her long hair fell over her shoulders, her personality remained tomboyish! She held a struggling wild pheasant in her hand, clearly excited.
“Good!” Li Yu took the pheasant from Xiaomeng and headed toward the lakeside.
“Qingxuan, come try my brother’s cooking!” Xiaomeng called over a young man to join them.
The young man had flowing long hair and a handsome face, his eyes carrying a mixture of determination and melancholy.
The three sat cross-legged on the ground, watching the sizzling wild pheasant on the fire.
“Life is but a dream, the past like fleeting clouds and smoke. Qingxuan, since you have transcended worldly bounds, the past is but vanishing mist. Only by letting go of attachments can one find peace!” Li Yu spoke pointedly to Qingxuan.
“Attachments are called attachments because they are hard to let go. Master Uncle, do you have no attachments?” Qingxuan retorted.
Li Yu was momentarily speechless.
Li Yu of Douluo Continent often found his gaze drifting toward Bibi Dong.
“Yu’er! What’s wrong?” Bibi Dong was surprised; their conversation had been going well until Li Yu suddenly paused.
“You are my attachment!” Li Yu said seriously, a rare earnestness on his face.
Bibi Dong’s heart, usually as solid as a rock, suddenly skipped a beat upon meeting Li Yu’s gaze.
“Brother! What do you think Qingxuan’s attachment is?” Xiaomeng asked curiously.
“His life, I do not intervene! Your life, I will protect!” Li Yu looked at Xiaomeng’s playful face and spoke with affection.
“Brother! Wait until I master my skills! I’ll protect you!” Xiaomeng said confidently.
“Good!”
Zhao King City
King Zhao Yan looked around at his ministers: “I wish to appoint Prince Qian as crown prince. Do any of you have objections?”
An elderly general clad in armor, his beard and hair streaked with white, stood up: “Your Majesty, since Prince Jia was sent as a hostage to Qin, Prince Qian should be made crown prince. Is there any objection? Where is Prince Jia now?”
Guo Kai, standing nearby, stepped forward: “General Sima, your words are mistaken! The crown prince’s position belongs to the capable. Prince Qian has proven his ability in this campaign. Why shouldn’t he be crown prince? Moreover, Your Majesty promised in front of the ministers that if the Qin army were repelled, Prince Qian would be crowned! Do you intend to break your word and bring shame upon the kingdom?”
Sima tried to sway King Zhao Yan with moral righteousness, but Guo Kai boldly put the king on the ethical high ground, leaving him no room to retreat.
King Zhao Yan, irritated with the old ministers, waved his hand: “So be it! Choose an auspicious day and crown Zhao Qian as crown prince!”
Dark currents stirred within the court.
Yet the harem was vibrant with spring’s vitality.
The Feiliu Waterfall thundered down thrice; Li Yu even suspected the beauty in his arms to be a reincarnation of the celestial water goddess.
“Li’er! Are you satisfied?” Li Yu gently pressed against her delicate ear, kissed it softly, and spoke.
“Very satisfied! Truly wonderful!” The courtesan Lan Li’er weakly draped herself over Li Yu, her energy spent as he dragged her along.
“Qian’er will soon be crown prince; Li’er’s wish fulfilled! Is there any reward you desire?” Li Yu smiled.
“You just like to humiliate me!” Lan Li’er’s eyes were seductive silk, gazing at Li Yu with languid allure.
“Don’t you like it, Li’er?” Li Yu leaned close to her fragrant lips.
“I do!” Her voice was sultry, weaving through the heart.
Li Yu changed his approach, plunging deeply with exceptional tightness.
Xianyang
As Li Yu expected, Gongsun Liji and Duanmu Rong got along best.
Zi Nu and Concubine Xin Yun had more shared interests.
Hong Lian spent her days taking the Snow Maiden on investigations.
Jing Ni was about to give birth soon, so Li Yu seldom left home.
He supported Jing Ni on walks in the courtyard.
Yan Fei’s belly was also beginning to show, her maternal aura instantly manifesting.
Liu Feixu also stayed long at Li Yu’s mansion, while the Yixiang Garden was temporarily entrusted to others.
Bai Yan’s private guards were showing early results.
Nong Yu was trying her hand at managing the new Zilan Pavilion in Xianyang, finding great joy.
As for Jing Ke, like Mo Ya, he guarded Li Yu’s estate—one in the open, one in the shadows. Mo Ya handled more household affairs and had grown closer to Xiao He recently. Li Yu often saw them sneaking around, pretending to be strictly professional, which was quite amusing.
Wushuang Gui was assigned by Li Yu to the military camp. When Meng Ao first saw Wushuang Gui, the light in his eyes was like beholding a peerless beauty, sending a chill down Li Yu’s spine.
“I’ll entrust him to the general! Don’t let him die; otherwise, my wife will be heartbroken!” Li Yu said thoughtfully.
“Rest assured! He’s equipped to the highest standards!” Meng Ao nodded.
Li Yu patted Wushuang Gui’s arm and said to the confused young man beside him: “Listen to him, and you’ll get meat to eat! You can ignore others, just listen to him! Stay out of trouble and don’t charge ahead like a fool! You’re meant to face generals, got it?”
“Howl!” Wushuang Gui patted his chest, showing he wasn’t foolish.
Through these days, Li Yu came to understand Wushuang Gui’s meaning well.
“Live well! You might become an uncle someday!”
Thinking of Yan Lingji’s recent eagerness to find something to do, Li Yu was somewhat troubled.
There was no suitable occupation for her—he certainly couldn’t make her a firelighter!
Yan Lingji’s cooking was truly unappetizing; only Li Yu occasionally joyfully sampled her culinary attempts.
...
Dazexiang
Historically significant, it was the birthplace of the first large-scale peasant uprising.
The phrase “Are nobles and generals born with privilege?” influenced Chinese culture for two thousand years, especially since Liu Bang’s ultimate victory over the powerful Xiang Yu set a precedent for future uprisings.
At least the notion of a hereditary dynasty from a foreign island was unrealistic on Chinese soil.
Without this phrase and Taoism’s support, Emperor Wu’s exclusive promotion of Confucianism would have softened the backbone of the nation, not to mention the later influence of Buddhist pessimism.
Qicheng
During the Warring States period, it was a barren small town.
Though situated on the north bank of the Yangtze River, the wetlands of the Jiangnan water towns had begun to take shape.
Li Yu floated on a bamboo raft, enjoying the scenery unique to the Central Plains region.
The spring river warmed, egrets paired up, reeds and rice paddies stretched, and fat fish swam in shallow waters.
Li Yu felt unusually joyful these days.
His long-sought Ehuang had become his taboo, her graceful elegance and full, perky hips were like an eternal aphrodisiac, making Li Yu unable to stop craving her.
“A little bamboo raft floating on the river, majestic green mountains lining both banks,” Li Yu sang merrily.
Deep in the mountains and great rivers,
Branches lush and thick, winding paths lead straight to the summit.
The height of the mountain matters not, but its peril does—such was Daze Mountain.
Stretching for thousands of miles, it was easy to lose one’s way without a guide.
The only mountain path was guarded by disciples of farming families, easy to defend but hard to attack.
Today was a joyous day at the Kuaiwei Hall of the farming clan.
Red lanterns hung high, decorations bright and colorful!
Guests came and went with smiles, all happy for their hallmaster Shengqi’s success!
Page 2/3
Shengqi’s pursuit of the most beautiful farm girl, Tian Mi, was an open secret.
Today, having won his beauty’s hand, everyone naturally came to celebrate with a drink.
In front of the door, Shengqi welcomed guests, a large colorful ball hanging on his chest—his burly figure hardly matched the decoration. Every visitor was personally greeted, showing his joy.
Inside the boudoir, Tian Mi sat in relative solitude except for her serving maid.
“Plop!” A sudden sound startled Tian Mi.
She lifted the red veil to find her maid collapsed on the floor, while a graceful young gentleman stood nearby, smiling warmly at her.
Tian Mi froze, then her charming face lit up with joy: “Young master? Why are you here?”
Li Yu smiled: “Miss Mi, on your joyous day, I naturally must come to offer congratulations!”
Tian Mi’s expression instantly turned sorrowful; she lowered her head and lamented: “You know who holds my heart—if not for your great cause, how could I marry that brute!”
Her alluring figure and mournful eyes were truly pitiful.
No wonder she bewitched Shengqi’s soul.
Li Yu gently lifted Tian Mi’s chin: “Didn’t I come? The lovely scenery, your husband thoughtfully prepared the bridal chamber. How could we disappoint his kindness?”
“Young master! Shengqi could arrive at any time! This isn’t proper!” Tian Mi worriedly said, sensing Li Yu’s intentions.
“No worries! I recently learned some spells at Tianzong; this is a perfect chance to try them out!” Li Yu said, lowering his head to kiss Tian Mi.
Her scent was sweet as honey, true to her name.
Soon rhythmic sounds came from the room.
Outside, guests set down their cups, curious about the purple smoke spreading around.
“Where did all this purple smoke come from?” someone asked.
“Purple aura from the east! Perhaps it’s for big brother’s birthday!” Wu Kuang, a rough fellow, spoke carefully.
“Indeed! Purple aura on Shengqi’s joyful day is a good omen! Spread the word so all farming clans know!” said a masked man, smiling.
“Recently, purple aura rumors have spread far and wide; didn’t expect them to be true!” said a man with a protruding forehead, high cheekbones, a long wide face, and a nonchalant air that made him stand out.
“Liu Ji! Drink your wine! This is our farm’s purple aura, how could it be like others’?” said a bearded yet young man, urging a toast.
“True! No other clan can compare!” Liu Ji kicked his foot onto the table and drank.
Wu Kuang looked at the slightly drunk Shengqi: “Big brother, drink less! You still have your wedding night!”
Others also urged: “The night is short! The hallmaster should go early to consummate with the bride! The brother has arranged it himself!”
Shengqi’s mind pictured Tian Mi’s charming face, his drunken flush deepened as he smiled: “Sorry for the poor reception, Wu Kuang, take care of the guests! I’m off!”
He staggered toward the bridal chamber.
“Shh! Don’t make a sound! Your husband is here! Oh, don’t pinch me, relax!” Li Yu kissed the fragrant, sweaty forehead.
Li Yu climbed atop the soft jade beneath him, raising his hand to form a seal: “All!”
At that moment, the door opened, and a staggering drunkard came out, eyes fixed on the maid on the floor, grinning: “Mi’er, why are you on the ground? Did you drink as much as your husband? Come, let me help you up!” He moved toward the maid.
Tian Mi looked on in disbelief. If she hadn’t known Li Yu’s background, she wouldn’t have dared gamble her life on this.
With a scream, Shengqi successfully ended the maid’s youth, like a bull, bowing over the table, engrossed in his work.
Li Yu did not relent, competing with Shengqi to prove who was the real man!
Outside, people leaning against the wall laughed: “Big brother Shengqi is truly mighty!”
“The hallmaster lives up to his name!”
...
After the night,
Shengqi shook his dizzy head, staring in shock at the limp maid below.
He glanced around.
Tian Mi was wiping tears sadly.
“Madam! What did I do last night?”
Tian Mi’s face full of sorrow: “Husband came in and violated Mi’er, didn’t even drink the wine, and finally even Xiao Huan was defiled!”
“Ah?” Shengqi recalled last night’s events, vaguely realizing he jumped straight to the point without considering Tian Mi’s feelings.
He smiled sheepishly: “Mi’er! Madam! I drank too much and lost control! Please don’t take offense!”
“Waaah! Husband! What about Huan’er?” Tian Mi, like a saintly figure, worried about the maid.
“I’ll marry her too!” Shengqi boasted.
“She lost her virtue to you without status; you must treat her well!”
Hearing this, Shengqi felt even better about Tian Mi—such a good woman was a blessing to him!
...
“I love three things: the sun, the moon, and you. I like the sun in the morning, the moon at night, but I will always love you.”
Li Yu stood by the lake, looking toward the rising sun in the east, speaking with feeling.
Princess Xueke stood beside him, feeling breathless.
Li Yu turned sideways, gazing at the girl with tender affection: “If the mountains crumble and the rivers dry up, thunder shakes in winter and snow falls in summer, the heavens and earth unite, only then will I dare to part with you.”
“Teacher!” Her voice was soft and alluring, clearly moved.
Li Yu couldn’t let such a young girl be easily won over; so many beauties wasted!
Since the first meeting on the lake, they had made it a habit to meet each morning by the small lake.
Feeling the moment ripe, Li Yu wrapped his arms around Xueke’s slender waist, smooth as silk and warm as jade: “Call me Yu, not teacher! I want to be the jewel in your heart, to protect you!”
“Yu!” Xueke was inexperienced, unsure how to respond.
When Li Yu’s body moved beneath hers and kissed her first lips, the princess tightly held those restless hands.
The calm lake reflected the morning sun, two beauties embracing—an exquisite, harmonious scene.
Soul Hall
A figure flew out of the hall again.
Chrysanthemum Douluo Guan Yue looked at the retreating Li Yu, amused.
If such persistence were applied elsewhere, it would surely achieve something, especially that shamelessness—few could imitate it!
If Li Yu knew Guan Yue’s thoughts, he would scoff: “You’re not a fish, how do you know the fish’s joy?”
Li Yu happily trotted toward Bibi Dong again.
Bibi Dong helplessly pressed her forehead.
Looking at her disciple, who never treated her like a teacher, especially with letters interspersed with “The Return of the Condor Heroes”—the hint was obvious: he wanted to be Yang Guo!
“Teacher! I made some pastries! You must try them! They were hard work!”
“Teacher! This dress suits you so well! I searched a long time for it!”
“Teacher! This pendant was handmade by me! You can wear it together!”
“Teacher! I invented a new dish! Taste and tell me!”
“Teacher! High heels are tiring; let me rub your feet!”
“Teacher! Let me tell you a story—The Weaver Girl and the Cowherd!”
“Teacher! Let me massage your shoulders! I’ll handle your documents! You rest!”
“Teacher! I invented a new skill! Let me teach you!”
“Teacher! I wrote a song for you! I’ll sing it!”
“Teacher! Eat more! I’m watching you!”
Page 3/3
“Teacher! I’ll block all your enemies! Soon I’ll go to the City of Slaughter, then to Sea God Island.”
Bits and pieces swirled in Bibi Dong’s heart.
At this moment, Li Yu was strolling through the woods with Hu Liena in his arms.
“Nana, I’m going to the City of Slaughter to help the teacher deal with Tang Chen, his trusted subordinate!”
“Isn’t that dangerous? I’ll come with you!” Hu Liena said.
“Good! A honeymoon trip then!” Li Yu had planned for Hu Liena to accompany him, which would also benefit her soul power. As long as he stayed by her side, it should be fine.
“You’re so good to the teacher, I’m jealous!” Hu Liena teased.
“In my heart, you’re both equally important! You’re my Nana, she’s my Dong’er!”
“No wonder the teacher always hits you and talks recklessly! You have a big heart, but poor teacher is pitiful. If he can be happy, I support it!”
“Thank you!” Li Yu touched Hu Liena’s irresistibly charming fox-like face and kissed her full red lips.
Tiandou City
Li Yu held Ai Li’s hand as they arrived at the auction hall, the place he once worked. Ai Li felt as if she had stepped into another world.
The new manager, a gentleman, greeted them.
“When do you have land and property auctions?” Li Yu asked directly.
“Sir, are you interested in real estate?” the manager asked kindly.
“Yes! I want a large place! Money is no object!” Li Yu nodded.
“There’s an auction tomorrow; you can come take a look!” the manager introduced.
“Good!” Li Yu held Ai Li’s hand and headed to the market.
“I’ll buy you some clothes! You like puffy skirts, so we’ll buy puffy skirts! Let’s go!” Li Yu waved his hand and entered the store.
An hour later, they emerged.
Li Yu glanced at the sunset.
“Where’s a restaurant with a better atmosphere?” he asked Ai Li.
“Master, let me carry these for you!” Ai Li pointed to the shopping bags in Li Yu’s hand.
Li Yu smiled: “That’s the minimum for a gentleman! Your woman is to be cherished! Let’s eat!”
They left as the moon rose high.
Back at the residence opposite the Moon Pavilion,
Li Yu, tired, threw the loaded shopping bags on the sofa but did not lie down. He took out two red candles from his soul device, placed and lit them on the table, then poured a cup of wine and handed it to Ai Li: “Thirsty?”
After several days together, Ai Li had come to understand Li Yu was not a plaything, and her heart gradually filled with a warm, unprecedented feeling.
As a key trainee at the auction hall, Ai Li was proficient in music and dance.
Li Yu played the harp while Ai Li danced gracefully like a beautiful sprite.
As the music ended, Li Yu teleported and embraced Ai Li’s slender waist.
“Be my girlfriend!” Li Yu gently stroked her brown hair and asked tenderly.
“Mm!” Ai Li nodded slightly.
Though Li Yu had unlimited rights over the auction items, what he truly sought was her heart.
This gentle feeling fascinated Ai Li deeply.
A kiss sealed their bond!
Li Yu also liked Ai Li in puffy skirts and lifted the skirt, burying his head within.
Tang Yuehua stood by the window, watching the purple aura gradually envelop Tiandou City.
Liu Erlong also looked around from the window, puzzled by the phenomenon.
...
Star Dou Great Forest
Li Yu’s face was covered with leaves as he held playing cards, staring at the two women opposite him, speechless:
“Your luck is unbelievable! Why do I lose every hand?”
Zi Ji looked at Li Yu, with only his eyes visible outside the leaves, twitching her mouth.
Beside her, Bi Ji laughed until bent over.
Li Yu wiped the leaves from his face: “I refuse! This time, let’s play hard—lose a hand, remove an item of clothing! Dare to play?”
“Pah!” Zi Ji rolled her eyes.
Bi Ji teasingly said: “Isn’t that your real goal?”
Li Yu: “...” “If I lose, I’ll also cook a full fish feast!”
Bi Ji’s eyes lit up: “Deal! Zi Ji, it’s settled!”
Li Yu showed a sly, triumphant grin.
“By the way, what’s your relationship with Ditian?” Li Yu asked as he shuffled cards.
“Partners!” Bi Ji answered quickly.
“Though Ditian is courting Zi Ji.”
“Not courting you?” Li Yu asked curiously.
“Me? Zi Ji is like a sister to me. We swore that if we marry, we’d marry the same man and never part!” Bi Ji’s words stunned Li Yu.
Had all his efforts been in vain?
“Ji’er, didn’t you tell Bi Ji about us?” Li Yu asked.
“Of course! Zi Ji said it on the first day!” Bi Ji replied.
Li Yu stood and approached Bi Ji, slightly excited: “So... would you also like to be my wife?”
“I don’t know you well yet, but I’m curious what Zi Ji likes about you. Our soul beasts all prefer strong creatures, like Ditian!” Bi Ji teased.
“Huh? I’m not strong? My strength lies within! You kids don’t understand! I’ll go see Ditian now!” Li Yu said and left.
“Hey! You’re really going! You’ll die!” Bi Ji called after him, worried.
Li Yu turned and smiled faintly: “For you, death is no matter!”
Bi Ji watched Li Yu’s departing figure, eyes sparkling, and said to Zi Ji: “Now I finally know why you like him!”
By the Lake of Life
Ditian looked oddly at the human before him: “You say you want to challenge me?”
Li Yu swung his sword: “Naturally! For my wife!”
Ditian: “...” “Fine! I want to see what’s special about the human the master fancies! This is no place for a fight! Disturbing the master’s rest! Follow me!” He led the way deeper into the forest.
Li Yu waved to the two women following him: “Your husband is going to save face for you!”
Leaving behind a desolate figure, reminiscent of the chill wind by the Yi River.
“Zi Ji! He’s serious!” Bi Ji worried.
“He never plays fake!” Zi Ji replied.
...
Deep in the forest
An open wasteland.
Li Yu stared at Ditian ahead.
A few days ago, he might not have been confident, but after conquering his sister-in-law, Mi’er, and Ai Li, Li Yu felt assured. Especially after learning some life-saving skills at Tianzong, he was determined not to lose badly.
