Kamael sped urgently toward Ohara. He had just witnessed the explosion at the Tree of Knowledge with his own eyes.

Within a few breaths, he reached the coast and, seeing several large warships that had yet to open fire, breathed a sigh of relief.

“Robin, your big brother Kamael is coming,” he murmured, closing his eyes. A vast wave of his sensory power spread out, enveloping the entire island.

...

“I won’t let you hurt my mother!” Robin stood protectively in front of Olvia, grasping Heavenly Snow in her hands. Many Navy soldiers already lay unconscious or worse at her feet.

Not far away, the giant Lieutenant General Saul shielded the Ohara archaeologists, stunned as he watched Robin. Although he had known her for several days, he had never imagined that this seemingly ten-year-old girl could be so terrifying.

“Hurry up and kill her; the Buster Call is about to begin!” The CP9 leader, his face twisted in fear, stared at the girl before him who looked no older than ten.

Just moments ago, as CP9’s leader tried to take Robin’s mother away, Robin had finally recognized Olvia. In a flash, she had wiped out all the surrounding Navy, rescuing her mother.

Robin glanced at the encroaching Navy, her face betraying no fear: Would she never see her big brother Kamael again?

She gazed out at the distant sea, her eyes filled with longing.

.....

“You have no chance.” Suddenly, Kamael appeared behind Robin, eyeing the enemy. With a casual raise of his hand, lightning flickered, and all the Navy soldiers and CP9 operatives fell where they stood, their bodies still crackling with electricity, utterly lifeless.

“Robin, I’m sorry I’m late.” Kamael cast a glance at Olvia—undeniably a beauty—then turned his attention to Robin.

Robin was splattered with blood from her earlier fighting, tightly gripping Heavenly Snow, its blade stained and blood still dripping from it.

“Big brother Kamael!” Robin threw herself into his embrace. Gone was the fearless girl from moments before; tears welled in her eyes.

“It’s all right now. It’s over.” Holding her, Kamael was filled with guilt. He’d seen the fallen Navy soldiers—Robin had killed them to protect her mother and friends, taking up arms for the first time.

Olvia looked at the young man before her, just thirteen or fourteen years old. A year of training had transformed Kamael; where once he looked ten, he now seemed much older.

“Who are you? Robin, who is this?” Olvia staggered to her feet, shocked by the spectacle. She had witnessed the power of the Devil Fruit—no, a Logia.

Robin, her tears subsiding, shyly emerged from Kamael’s embrace. “Mama, this is big brother Kamael. Kamael, this is my mother. That’s the giant Saul. Big brother Kamael has taken care of me for years, but he went into seclusion for a while. Now he’s back. We’re all saved. He’s incredibly strong.”

She finished with a starry-eyed look at Kamael, overcome with happiness—yet tears rolled down again at the thought she might never have seen him again.

Kamael held Robin close and asked Olvia, “Why did the Navy come here? And you’ve been gone from Robin for six years—what were you doing? Why didn’t you return? Don’t you know how much she hates being alone?” Kamael’s tone was cold; he didn’t like this woman. To search for the Poneglyphs, she had sent her two-year-old daughter to her brother’s house. Was that any way for a mother to behave?

“I…I…” Olvia was at a loss for words, guilt overwhelming her as she looked at her daughter, who had risked her life to save her.

“All of you, come here.” Not waiting for Olvia’s answer, Kamael beckoned the nearby archaeologists. The Navy had already sent a distress signal; reinforcements were approaching.

They all recognized Kamael but were shocked to see that in just a year, he’d grown an entire head taller—now around 1.6 meters.

Even the bravest shuddered at the sight of the cold-blooded youth and stepped forward timidly.

Kamael said quietly to Robin, “You all go into my ring for now. Come out later.”

Robin knew what the ring on Kamael’s hand could do—she’d been inside before. It was like another world, vast and expansive.

“Okay.” She understood he was about to fight, and kept silent.

With a thought, Kamael sent everyone into the ring’s space. As he watched the Navy soldiers rushing toward him, his pupils turned red, three tomoe spinning slowly. A violent battle aura surged from his body—he hadn’t expected to be able to stretch his limbs right after leaving seclusion.

He summoned “Violet Emperor” with his mind; the scabbard vanished into the ring’s space.

He didn’t think much of the Navy before him. Only if an admiral appeared would he be interested.

With one swing, a blade of energy several meters wide tore out, gouging a massive chasm into the ground and engulfing the Navy in a wave of destruction before continuing out to sea.

From a distance, Kuzan, who had been circling nearby, noticed the commotion and hurried over.

Kamael watched as the warships began shelling the shore. Curling his lip, he vanished with a flash step.

A moment later, he appeared above the ten warships. He needed to destroy them quickly—if the bombardment continued, Ohara would meet the same fate as in the original story.

“Hmph, mere wooden ships. Let’s see how sturdy they are.” With another flash step, he appeared at the side of a warship, circulating his energy rapidly. “Violet Emperor” slashed down hard, unleashing a torrent of purple sword energy that split three warships in half, sending them sinking. He spared no pity for the struggling sailors.

He vanished and reappeared several times, and massive sword beams destroyed eight of the warships.

The terrified sailors fired their guns at him, but Kamael ignored the bullets passing harmlessly through him and materialized in front of another ship.

A surge of purple energy shot forth.

Suddenly, a Navy officer appeared on the deck. “Magma Burst!” the man roared, his fist transforming into a torrent of magma wreathed in black smoke as he struck at the blade energy.

But it wasn’t enough. The warship took massive damage, its deck cleaved in two, and the Navy officer vanished in the aftermath.

“Huh, isn’t that Red Dog’s technique?” Watching the massive magma flow clash with his sword energy, Kamael paused, curious about this future admiral.

Akainu was nervous. That attack seemed effortless for his opponent, while he had to give his all—and even then, he hadn’t fully canceled it out. This youth was truly formidable, at least at the level of a great swordsman.

“Haha! So this is the Navy? What a joke—get lost! You’re not worth my time!” Kamael slung Violet Emperor over his shoulder, laughing arrogantly.

The magma gathered together, and a man in a Navy vice-admiral’s uniform, wearing a cap, slowly reformed.

Suddenly, “Ice Age!” A shout from not far away caught Kamael’s attention.

Bang! Kamael was instantly encased in a massive block of ice, connected to the sea.

Kuzan had arrived. From a distance, he’d watched the youth cleave eight warships in two with ease. Catching Kamael off guard, he unleashed his ultimate move.

Seeing the youth frozen, Kuzan let out a sigh of relief and sped down an ice path to Akainu’s ship.

“Sakazuki, are you all right?” he asked the vice-admiral, whom he didn’t much like, but felt obliged to check on.

Sakazuki replied, his face pale, “He’s too strong. Good thing you froze him. What about the Navy on land?”

Kuzan, shaken by the sight of the frozen Kamael, replied, “All I saw was a giant chasm and devastation. The Navy forces on shore have been completely wiped out by that boy. We should withdraw.”

When Kuzan had unleashed his power, Kamael had immediately sensed the change in the moisture in the air. He could have dodged, but wanted to test the strength of the attack.

Thanks to his training under the sea and reaching the sixth stage of Divine Art’s first level, he felt only a little chilly—at most, it was a good way to cool down.

Inside the ice, Kamael heard their conversation and considered letting them go. Only if they brought more Navy, or the three admirals, would he take the fight seriously.

With a “boom,” his energy circulated, and with a slight tremor, the ice shattered. Facing the wary and fearful gazes of the two future admirals, Kamael curled his lip. “Hey, is this the Navy’s highest-level operation? Ten warships? Bring a hundred next time—it still won’t be enough for me to cut down.”

With that, he pulled out a Zhonghua cigarette, a flash of lightning lighting it at his fingertip. He took a slow drag, gazing playfully at the two vice-admirals before him.

......

Ah! Writing fight scenes is so hard! Sorry about that.
