Chapter Twenty-Two: The Yellow Ape, Blue Pheasant, and Red Dog—Defeated!
Boom!
Camille’s Purple Emperor clashed with Kizaru’s Ame-no-Murakumo Sword, unleashing a thunderous explosion.
“Shunpo.” Aokiji seized the moment as Camille and Kizaru collided, launching an ice spike in an instant. Camille dodged with a swift step.
In a blur, Camille appeared at Aokiji’s right side, spinning his right leg in a powerful arc toward him. Unable to evade, Aokiji raised his right arm to block, his forearm encased in ice.
Bang! Aokiji was sent flying. Camille quickly ducked— a beam of golden light shot overhead, blasting a distant, massive tree in half.
“Hm!” Camille uttered a light exclamation, leaping up to stand in midair. The ground where he had stood moments before had melted into soft magma.
“Ha ha, not bad at all! Let’s continue.” Camille hovered in the void, sheathing the Purple Emperor. A flash from his ring, and it vanished.
Ha, nothing beats the thrill of trading blows. If I use a blade, I might accidentally kill them, Camille thought mischievously.
He vanished with Shunpo, reappearing beside Akainu. His left leg, imbued with Haki, crashed mercilessly into Akainu.
Boom! Akainu didn’t react in time; Camille’s kick sent him flying, embedding him in a nearby tree.
Kizaru didn’t spare Akainu a glance.
“Yasakani no Magatama!” Kizaru unleashed countless golden orbs from his hands.
Camille’s eyes narrowed.
“Hmph!” He spread his hands, conjuring a purple barrier in an instant.
Boom... Explosions thundered endlessly.
After a long moment, Kizaru ceased his barrage and exhaled, still processing what had happened when Camille appeared before him, landing a straight punch to Kizaru’s waist.
Boom! Kizaru was sent soaring, crashing into the earth, leaving a crater several meters wide.
“Ice Age!” Aokiji’s furious roar echoed from nearby, and the ice surged toward Camille. Camille tapped his foot, springing lightly into the air.
“Tempest Kick!”
A massive purple blade flashed from Camille’s left foot, slicing toward Aokiji.
Boom! It struck a distant tree, cleaving it cleanly in two as it toppled.
Aokiji slowly emerged from the ice beside a deep ravine.
“Elemental transformation, eh?” Camille said coldly. Without slowing, he sidestepped half a meter, and a giant golden beam blasted past, smashing into the distant ground.
Boom! A massive crater was instantly torn into the earth.
“Not paying attention, Camille!” Kizaru’s lewd voice called from the direction of his attack.
The distant soldiers watched the battle in awe, retreating further, hearts pounding with terror. This youth stood his ground against three admirals—how powerful must he be?
“Colonel, is that the boy who wounded Admiral Kizaru eight years ago, and fought Vice Admiral Garp to a standstill—Eros D. Camille? I didn’t believe it before, but now I do,” a trembling rookie whispered beside the naval colonel.
“Yes, I didn’t believe it either. Who would have thought he could go toe-to-toe with three admirals? Incredible. He was so young eight years ago!” the colonel replied, shocked.
Meanwhile, Robin’s group had reached District 13. Hearing the distant explosions, Shakky puffed on a cigarette and said, “Hey, Rayleigh, the fight over there is intense. Aren’t you going to check it out?”
“Heh, just look at Miss Robin,” Rayleigh replied, sipping his drink with a smile.
Robin, relaxed, took a few sips of coffee, glanced at the worried Hancock, and sighed lightly.
Ah, Camille, you really know how to capture a girl’s heart.
“Heh, nothing to worry about. If Camille wanted to kill the three of them, it’d be over in an instant.” Robin said mysteriously.
Rayleigh’s hand trembled as he gripped his drink.
“In an instant?” Rayleigh asked, bewildered and shocked. Hancock and Shakky also looked at Robin curiously.
Robin laughed and shook her head. “Camille is very strong—far beyond what you imagine!” She smiled mysteriously and said no more.
Rayleigh shook his head and drank, finally feeling at ease.
Heh, that brat from ten years ago has become this powerful.
...
“Heh, looks like this isn’t enough. Time to get serious.” Camille looked at the three standing together. Akainu had already emerged from the tree—Camille had never intended to kill them.
He closed his eyes. Kizaru, Akainu, and Aokiji watched curiously.
“Sharingan, activate.” Camille’s eyes snapped open. His pupils were no longer their usual purple-black, but crimson, with three tomoe spinning slowly.
“Let’s begin!” Camille whispered, vanishing in a flash.
The three admirals were still stunned by Camille’s eyes when he appeared at Akainu’s side. Akainu tried to retreat, but Camille’s right leg landed firmly on his arms.
Boom... The force shattered several trees before stopping.
With one move, Admiral Akainu was utterly incapacitated.
As the distant naval soldiers rushed toward the silent Akainu, Kizaru and Aokiji exchanged nervous glances.
Akainu clearly dodged, yet he was struck. Was it the power of those eyes?
It was indeed the Sharingan’s ability to predict movement. As Akainu retreated, Camille already knew his path and delivered a Haki-infused kick, KO’ing him.
“Heh, it’ll soon be your turn!” Camille dusted his right leg, speaking with a mocking tone.
“Aokiji, cover me for a few seconds,” Kizaru said, face grave.
“You’re going to use that move? Alright.” Aokiji nodded, resolute, clearly trusting the technique.
Camille’s extraordinary hearing picked up Kizaru’s words, and he watched Kizaru curiously. But Aokiji had already unleashed Ice Age at full power.
“Ice Age!”
Instantly, frost covered the world. Camille leapt into the air, then—
“Hmph, Solar Flare!” Kizaru crossed his hands, golden light blazing from his palms.
Buzz! The sky flashed with golden brilliance.
Camille closed his eyes and crossed his arms, raising a purple defensive shield before him.
Boom... Explosions roared non-stop.
“Whew! That move is deadly!” Kizaru gasped, kneeling on one leg as he panted loudly.
Aokiji looked in shock toward Camille’s direction.
Everything visible before them had been flattened, a fan-shaped swath stretching hundreds of meters, devoid of anything.
“That guy couldn’t have been finished so easily...”
Bang—Kizaru hadn’t finished speaking before a Haki-charged kick struck his stomach, sending him crashing through trees, blood pouring from his mouth—he was gravely wounded.
“Kizaru!” Aokiji shouted, but a heavy punch struck his abdomen, and he slowly collapsed.
Camille appeared before Aokiji.
“Whew! That was close—my head nearly got burned off!” Camille touched his purple hair, lit a cigarette, and blew a few smoke rings, speaking slowly.
The three navy admirals—defeated!
