Chapter 75: The Sinister Trio!
Grand Line, an unknown sea in the New World.
“Luffy, the location of the One Piece has finally been confirmed,” Nami called out to Luffy, who was leaning against the ship’s rail, after putting down the Den Den Mushi.
“Hmm?” Luffy lifted his head.
The mischievous look on Luffy’s face faded. Now twenty-one years old, he stood tall at around six feet, draped in a cloak much like the one Shanks wore. If not for his still somewhat boyish features, he would be considered a strikingly handsome man by now.
He reached up with his right hand to press his straw hat down, and replied with a firm tone, “Is that so!” Luffy was no longer the reckless boy from the first half of the Grand Line.
Zoro and Sanji, who were nearby, turned their attention toward him.
“Yes, Shanks just called. He believes the time is ripe and has announced the location of the One Piece to the world. Pirates from all over the New World are on their way there. I’ve heard the Navy plans to intervene, but I doubt they’ll be able to break through the pirates’ blockade,” Nami said as she sat in her small chair, the Den Den Mushi resting on the table.
“Oh.” Luffy raised his head, sweeping his gaze over his companions, his eyes resolute.
“Everyone, it’s time to set sail!”
...
In another unexplored region of the New World, there lay a beautiful island. The roar of beasts echoed from time to time, and giant birds, hundreds of meters long, occasionally soared out from the forest.
Swish!
A purple figure appeared abruptly on the branch of a massive tree.
With disheveled purple hair, dressed entirely in purple robes and a white long sword at his waist, Kamille raised his head, his gaze cold as he looked down at the pirates feasting beneath him. Kamille shook his head slightly.
“Tch! That Red-haired guy is almost a bad influence on Hawkeye,” he murmured softly, then leapt down from the tree.
Only then did the pirates below notice Kamille’s sudden arrival from above. They all stood and stepped back to make room.
“Haha, Kamille! I thought you weren’t coming. Come, have a drink!” Red shouted heartily.
Upon seeing Kamille, Shanks waved away the other pirates, leaving only Hawkeye behind. The pirates could guess that these heavyweights of the New World had important matters to discuss. Kamille’s visits were no longer a surprise to them; sometimes, when he came to play, they even managed to learn a trick or two from him. They had become well acquainted.
Hawkeye’s mouth twitched violently as he muttered, “We’ve been drinking all day, and he’s still not drunk?”
“Shanks, you still have no sense of crisis at all!” Kamille smiled helplessly. In over ten years, Shanks hadn’t changed a bit—his personality was a match for the old Luffy.
“Shanks, Mihawk, this era should come to an end,” Kamille said, no longer joking, his eyes fixed on the distant sea.
Shanks froze, the playful air vanishing as he regained the imposing presence of an Emperor. “Yes, our era should end.”
Hawkeye glanced at them both, a smirk curling at his lips. “It’s time. Shall we see who can cut down more pirates? The One Piece won’t come easy.”
Kamille and Shanks exchanged glances and smiled, then nodded slightly.
In the world of pirates, the three of them now stood at the very pinnacle. Kamille, as Emperor, would lead Shanks and Hawkeye to hunt down as many pirates as possible before they could reach the location of the One Piece.
“Let’s go!”
...
Annoyed, I had to work overtime tonight, so this is all for now. Sorry, my father wants me to go to bed. Goodnight.
