“What kind of love scammer?” Gu Dieyan asked, confused.

“It’s Qiao Xi,” came the reply.

“Why do you say that?”

“She’s cozying up to my cousin while secretly seeing Ya Ge at the same time. Calling her a big liar isn’t enough; calling her a seductress wouldn’t be too harsh.”

“What does she have to do with Ou Ya? Besides, I asked her, and she said she doesn’t like Yu Fan; it’s Yu Fan who likes her.”

“Sister Die, you’re just too naive. You believe everything she says? If it were really as she claims, then why didn’t she deny it when my cousin openly confessed in class yesterday? The whole class can vouch for that. And before, Qiao Xi was seen holding hands with Ya Ge right at the school gate—many saw that. Also, yesterday after school, lots of people saw her being pulled out of the school by a boy, supposedly a student from Fengyang. I think her whole image is a facade; her private life is a mess. Maybe that’s why she transferred schools.”

Jia’er’s words were things Gu Dieyan had also heard before. Though some rumors seemed unbelievable, over and over again, it was impossible for all of them to be false.

“Then why did she tell me she doesn’t like Yu Fan?”

“She’s definitely doing it on purpose—saying she doesn’t like my cousin, while he likes her. She’s clearly trying to show off to you. You’re the school’s top beauty, and a lot of boys like you. She must be jealous, so she deliberately tells you this. Notice she only tells you and no one else—it’s obviously aimed at you.”

“Even if what you say is true, what can I do? Yu Fan doesn’t like me; he only likes her.” Gu Dieyan lowered her head in disappointment.

“Are you really going to give up just like that? Love is about fighting for it. Besides, are you just going to stand by and watch my cousin get deceived?”

“Of course I don’t want that, but what can I do?”

“Kick her out of school.”

“Kick her out of school?”

“Yes. Once she’s gone and I’m by my cousin’s side, she won’t get any chance to come near him again.” From the start, Xu Jia’er wanted to get rid of Qiao Xi, but since her cousin was interested in her, she held back. Now, she hated her so much she wanted her gone immediately but didn’t want to upset her cousin or leave a bad impression on Ya Ge. Gu Dieyan liked her cousin and was innocent and naïve, so Jia’er saw an opportunity to use her.

Gu Dieyan hesitated. She had never thought of hurting anyone before, but Yu Fan was the one she liked, and she couldn’t just watch him get hurt.

Anyway, kicking Qiao Xi out of school wasn’t really harming anyone, right?

“How do we do it?” she asked Jia’er.

“As long as Qiao Xi becomes the enemy of the whole school, she won’t be able to stand her ground here.” Jia’er leaned closer to Gu Dieyan and began outlining the plan. “You start by…”

“Qiao Xi, someone’s looking for you downstairs.”

During the break, a classmate came over to inform Qiao Xi.

Before Qiao Xi could respond, Dan Chou Chou had already asked, “Who is it?”

“Not sure. It’s a boy I’ve never seen before. Anyway, you’ll find out when you go. I passed on the message; you handle it yourself.” The classmate left after saying that.

“Why not just come to the classroom directly? Why send a message? So weird,” Dan Chou Chou muttered.
