Chapter 151: Reaping What You Sow (1)
"Silly child, there's nothing to be ashamed of. My granddaughter is so pretty, of course someone would pursue her," her grandmother said with a smile.
"Grandma..."
"Alright, alright, Grandma won't say anymore."
"I have an exam tomorrow, I'm going back to my room to review."
"Don't stay up too late."
"Mm."
Qiao Xi went into her room, put other thoughts aside, and concentrated on studying her lessons.

Xu Jiaer arrived at school early today, but instead of going into the classroom, she stayed in the corridor chatting with a classmate.
The moment she saw Qian Yinyin walk past, she immediately ran over.
"Yinyin."
"Oh, it's Jiaer. Is something the matter?"
"It's nothing much, I just suddenly remembered that your birthday is coming up soon."
"That's right, it's this Saturday. I didn't expect you to remember my birthday." Qian Yinyin was quite happy to have someone remember her birthday.
"My memory has always been pretty good. By the way, how are you planning to spend it?"
"Just like any other day."
"It only happens once a year, how can it be like any other day? Of course, you have to celebrate properly."
"No, booking a meal outside costs a lot of money. It's better to use it to buy pretty clothes and extracurricular books."
"Your family isn't that poor," Xu Jiaer said, then, as if thinking of something, she immediately added, "Ah, you could do this: buy some food to take home, and then invite some good friends over. It'll be lively, that's what a birthday should feel like."
"At home, huh." Qian Yinyin thought about it and couldn't help nodding. "That sounds doable. There's no class on Saturday, and my parents happen to be working overtime that day and won't be back until very late, so nobody will be nagging me."
"So who are you planning to invite?" Xu Jiaer asked.
"I can't invite too many. My place is small, it'll get crowded if there are too many people. Just some close friends: you, Niansheng, Panxi, Yuanyuan and them."
"Don't invite any boys. Just us girls having fun together; having boys around means you have to watch out for this and that."
"That's true." Qian Yinyin nodded.
"Then just invite a few more girls, that way it'll be lively. By the way, aren't you and Qiao Xi close? You should invite her," Xu Jiaer reminded.
"We've chatted a few times, wouldn't say we're very close. Besides, she might not necessarily come even if I invite her."
"Well, you won't know unless you ask. And since it's your birthday and you're inviting her personally, I'm sure she won't refuse."
"Alright then, I'll go talk to them later," Qian Yinyin said.
"Then it's settled." Xu Jiaer still wore an innocent expression, but her eyes grew darker: Qiao Xi, I promise I'll make you disappear from Yingran very soon, and you'll never have the face to show up in public again.
The exams were finally over, and school was dismissed. The students walked out of the classroom, some complaining while others looked pleased, chatting along the way.
"Qiao Xi, how did you do on the exam?" Gu Panxi came over to ask.
"I have no idea." Qiao Xi wasn't feeling very confident, even though she had reviewed last night.
"Don't worry about it. Come on, let's go get some food." Gu Panxi wasn't worried at all; English happened to be her strong suit.
The two of them went to the cafeteria, got their food, and had just sat down when Qian Yinyin came over and sat with them as well.
"Panxi, I'll give you a chance to guess what kind of day tomorrow is."
"What kind of day?" Gu Panxi thought for a moment, but couldn't really figure it out, so she turned to Qiao Xi and asked, "Qiao Xi, do you know?"
Qiao Xi shook her head.
"That's too much, are we even good friends?" Qian Yinyin said with mock dissatisfaction.
"Could it be your birthday?" Gu Panxi guessed casually, and then remembered, "Oh right, your birthday is this month."
